BSOD every few hours, error 0x0000007f

Hello all, I just started getting BSOD the other day. I have tried reformatting a few times and even burned a new windows 7 disc and it is still happening. At first it seemed to happen when playing games such as Dark Souls 2, World of Tanks and World of Warcraft but it also just happened while browsing the web. I am suspecting there is a hardware issue somewhere but I am not sure how to isolate the problem and really dont want to have to build an entire new computer. If anyone has any suggests that could help please let me know!

Stress test your CPU with Prime95

I recommend running Prime95 for around 2 hours

   Warning

As with most stress tests your component's temperature will rapidly increase.
It is advised that you download a temperature monitoring program like HWmonitor
Keep an eye on your temperatures and stop the tests if it starts to overheat

Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes

   Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

Memtest86 will test your RAM

   Information

Run Memtest86 for at least 8 passes so we get enough information to confirm that your RAM isn't failing

If everything runs fine from there then we'll take another approach but it sounds like hardware ought to be ruled out first.

So I started with SeaTools and I cant seem to get the Short Drive Self Test to complete for the SSD Drive I have. It just sits at the same spot and I have to abort eventually. It did pass the Short Generic just fine. Is this an indicator of a bad drive or does it just not work for SSDs?

Try SeaTools DOS.
Make sure you read the instructions, you will probably have to change the SATA operation.

Another update - Just finished Memtest after 15 hours - 0 errors there. Still need to do Seatools DOS.

Was not able to find any drives while trying to run Seatools DOS even after switching it to IDE/SATA it did not see any drives detected.

We'll leave it out for now, what about Prime95 and Furmark?

Both of those ran fine for the specified times, Temps seemed ok - GPU max temp was 80c. Did not notice any artifacting or crashing during either.

Could it be a bad motherboard possibly? Seems like the testing results only showed the SSD not being able to complete the seatools test. Please let me know your thoughts here.

I think it's too early to make a judgement.
I would like to try Driver Verifier.
If it finds nothing then we'll go back onto the issue with SeaTools.

Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier -Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point Manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

So far the only BSOD since starting this a few hours ago has been when I open a program I use called Peerblock. It will crash everytime its opened with Driver Verifier on. Here is the properties.
