Random BSOD, even when not near the computer.

Hi, I recently bought a new computer, probably about 2-3 months ago, and ever since I got it I've been having problems with blue screens. They mostly occur when I'm playing games or doing something which requires a lot of power, but at other points it just randomly does it while watching youtube or the likes.

I downloaded BlueScreenView and most of the errors all seem to be caused by something different, but "ntoskrnl.exe" is always in with the errors. I've tried updating most of my drivers(the ones that I was able to) and am still having no luck, although the BSOD happens less frequently.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I've been busy.

I just ran the scannow and it came up with the following "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" which I'm assuming means that it should be working fine? I haven't got around to doing the disk check yet but I'll try and do it at some point during the weekend, is there anything else I can check just now before I do the disk check?

Try rolling back to this driver,

Do a clean install of the display driver.

• Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features

  • 3D Vision Driver
  • Graphics Driver
  • HD Audio Driver
  • PhysX
  • nvidia Update
  
  (Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
• Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
• Install the driver again. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:
  
  

Get rid of Daemon tools too, that can cause problems,

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause of BSOD's.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
- Double click the executable to open it
- Click the button shown below



If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.
