    BSOD when connecting USB3 external hdd


    BSOD when connecting USB3 external hdd, the BSOD reported nusb3xhc.sys as the cause with an IRQ issue.
    Tried downloading updated driver from Intel and installing....rebooted & connected USB3 hdd and it BSOD with the same error :-(

    BSOD file attached.

    If anyone could help that would be great!

    nusb3xhc.sys is Renesas XHCI driver. Better you get is either from Dell by using your service tag or search in USB Driver | Renesas Electronics

    Thanks for you help, but unfortunately Sony is the manufacturer of the laptop, and they do not have an updated USB driver.

    The Renesas Electronics page you provided does not have drivers....what they have is development software for companies embedding the Renesas chips into their hardware.

    Hi there ... Your original Driver is in the Link below ....

    Sony : VPCF13Z0E : NVIDIA Guard Service


    This is a later Version of the Driver you need and should work on your Laptop ...
