BSOD playing Left 4 Dead 2

I have been having issues with crashes to desktop and blue screens while playing L4D2 through Steam. While the issue is mostly isolated to instances where the game is running, I have also had the BSOD show up during normal web browsing or other basic uses.

I recently reformatted my SSD (OS drive), hoping to clear out any funky registry files or bad drivers. After a clean reinstall and update of Windows and all drivers, the issue reappeared twice last night. I've stress tested my video card, CPU, and memory with no problems. Help please!

    Hi redeux.

Stop 0xA0000001 is a custom bugcheck included in AMD/ATI display environment.

Try applying another version of the display driver. Uninstall your installed latest version of the display driver.

Then clean up any possible leftover.

Then install version 13.9 WHQL only.

    Let us know the result.
