    Hi veasnagmail.

What does that blue screen say? Can you take a camera snap of that blue screen and upload it here?

Also try some other things .....

Boot to System Recovery Options . Try Safe Mode with Command Prompt. In the command prompt .... enter the command ....

    start msconfig

It will open the system configuration window, with the "general" tab selected.

    • Click the "startup" tab. Click "Disable all" > Apply > OK.
    • Click on "services" tab. Check the "Hide all Microsoft Services"; Click "Disable all" > Apply > OK

Then try to boot again normally. Is it failing still?

    It means Inaccessible Boot Device.

It may be either a HDD failure, or a boot sequence error, or a bootkit (a special type of malware).

    Try three things:

    1. Seatools for DOS to test the HDD
    2. Windows Defender offline to scan for bootkit/rootkit.
    3. And a screenshot of the disk/boot parameters.
Do you have access to another computer right now? If so, download Partition wizard Bootable CD (the last one in the link). Burn it in a blank CD or in a USB flash stick.

Boot into Partition Wizards GUI following this instructions. When you are on the last screen, take a camera snap of the screen and upload the snap here.

We need to see the partitions and parameters.

You need not to boot into windows for any of those, but you will need to have access to another computer to get the things ready.

    Let us know the results.
