    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP 0x0000007f

Please can someone help? I've been trying to fix my HP Pavilion dv6 3130sa notebook for a year now & I've ran out of ideas as to what to do next!

    The problem:
My notebook keeps crashing to BSOD and reboots into safe mode options and this happens randomly. In Safe mode with networking the notebook does the same.

    Fixes/checks done so far:
I have wiped the Hard Drive and reinstalled Windows 7 Home 64bit three times with an ISO and checked the connectors on my hard drive and ram. I have scanned and tested my hard drive (No manufacturer 'Hitachi' scans available so used generic ones), scanned my CPU and RAM (which has been swapped out with known good memory and BSOD still occurs) and the GPU (which has had burn-in tests with no problems showing) and I've tested m/b (limited test with HOT CPU Tester (Lite) which showed nom problems). I have used diagnostic software testers like HP Tools, scannow, and many other diagnostic tools with them all saying that my hardware is OK. However, I still get the blue screen when running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit which can happen randomly and is not dependent on high load and I get the same culprit: ntoskrnl

Please find my debug MATT-PC-27_05_2014_115924_01.zip attached.

    Thanks in advance.

Despite the test that you say you have done I think this looks like a hardware issue, mainly RAM.

    Memtest86 will test your RAM

       Information

Run Memtest86 for at least 8 passes so we get enough information to confirm that your RAM isn't failing

Run a Disk Check to scan for errors

       Note

Afterwards go into an Elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator) and type in sfc /scannow
If it finds errors reboot and run the scan two more times

Run SeaTools to see if your HDD or SSD is failing

    Post back the results.

    Thedoctor44,

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I ran each of the tests. Here are the results...

Memtest: 11 passes completed. No errors found.
    Disk check: No errors.
    sfc /scannow: No errors.
Seatools: Short DST - Pass, Short generic - Pass, Long generic - Pass.

During the memtest the CPU was running between 73 degrees C - 87 degrees C. Timing was 7-7-7-20.

    Regards,

    Matt
