    BSOD and icon.cache problem


    please help me.

    i always get BSOD after quitting a game DOTA 2.

    and also tried the iconcache.db repair but still not working.

    You need to try and update Windows to at least Service Pack 1, but I'm not sure you can do that with your installation. Perhaps you can tell us how it was installed originally....its an HP OEM on a Lenova machine.

    thanks for the reply.

    i bought this desktop cpu with OS already installed

    i manage to make 109 updates for windows but still i

    go BSOD and cant figure how to repair my Icons in desktop specially MS office files.

    please check my latest log after getting BSOD and update.

    i managed to install the service pack 1 you told me.

    as of now I'm not receiving any BSOD(i hope it will not anymore)

    thank you so much.

    i hope you could help me too in the other issue.

    i tried all repair the in the other forum in this site about iconcache but still didn't work for me.

    thanks again for the time...

    is it ok if i try to uninstall then install my Microsoft office? will it show the correct icons afterwards?
