    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+44e42f

    Hi Guys,

I build my new Computer a few days ago and started to get some BS.
There were 2 different Type's of them. One of them "i think" is solved, it appeared because the optional NVDIA Driver update. The other one appears irregular. I got it by stress testing the CPU, Starting the Computer and one time in IDLE. I did all updates and checked the Drivers and Drives before. It seems to be ok. My guess is something with Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533) is not right.

    Hi vasc319.

Make it sure that the driver to your Intel SSD is up to date.
How to Upgrade Intel SSD Firmware | StorageReview.com - Storage Reviews

Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.

    • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
      • 3D Vision Control Driver
      • 3D Vision Driver
      • Graphics Driver
      • HD Audio Driver
      • PhysX
      • nvidia Update

(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
    • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
    • Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Multiple concurrent issues may indicate to memory failure. Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

    Let us know the results.

    Yes.

Yesterday, on 06/06, you have had a stop 0x116 BSOD, which is a display failure caused bugcheck.
    Code:
    BugCheck 116, {fffffa8006ed84e0, fffff8800f17402c, 0, 2}

You have got the 337.88 WHQL installed after that.
    Code:
         Driver Version: 9.18.13.3788
       Driver Date/Size: 5/20/2014 04:44:03, 17480432 bytes
It is not very stable. I am not the only person saying it. 314.22 is a version which does not fail on itself. So installation of it is required, in order to determine the nature of the stop 0x116 BSOD. We need to see if the BSODs continue with that version too, or not.

That is why you should use the particular driver that is suggested (not the old nvidia drivers in general).

But if I need to explain everything that I suggest, I will be out of time for the other guys having issues. :) You need to trust on the person helping you.

The Stop 0x116 just appeared one time after i tried to install the optimal nvdia driver after updating the new nvdia driver only the 0x000f4 appeared. I will try the driver downgrade if the 0x116 shows up again. I did the memtest and its ok. The SSD upgreat didnt worked with the intel tool because i use a Samsung SSD ?! I tried it with Magican the Samsung software, it told me i got the past firmware. Is it possible that the 0x004f appears because of some trouble with windows updates ? I got some errors and after reinstall them i didnt become a bs until now. I tried to read sth. out of the SF file but i dont get it. :)

I did a typing mistske i ment last and not past firmware. The system runs without bs 2 days but i have still some problems with my gpu. It shows up indication errors (if its the right word ) the screen gets black for a few seconds and i get kicked out from the game (watchdogs) them it says that the driver failure is restored. I will try to reinstall the driver. You recommended me a driver but i also have the CD from inno3d which was delivered with the gpu. Should i still use the driver you recommended ??

E: Are the 3D features you suggested to deinstall/not install with the following driver important for gaming? I want to play in a nice looking enviroment with ultra settings or is the 3D stuff just for true 3D games with glasses etc. ?

    Something like this?

I recommended you the 314.22 WHQL, the most stable driver version lately released by nvidia. It does not fail at its own.

And we are seeing that the display crashes are continuing with multiple driver versions. It is a good indication of a failing GPU.
