    bsod with win 7 ultimate; also, new win 8 gives bsod w same data drve

    Dear all,

    I was getting bsod on win 7 ultimate and dell xps 8300; had dell 8700 with win 8 that was rock stable; imaged win7 to new xps 8700 and moved 2 additional data harddrives over; again, win 7 gives bsod [suggesting a software/driver issue]. reinstalled win 8 on 8700 that had been stable for 2 months but now get bsod on win 8 with the 2 data drives. [suggesting the data drives are the problems].

    Figured the data drives were the problem; but, no errors on 7 hours drive checks from wd noted.

    Really confused why I am getting bsod on two separate hardwares with two separate os.

    here are the minidumps for win 7 on 8300 and 8700;

    thank you for any thoughts.

    We need more information to analyze your logs. Follow Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, let the tool run until it has completely finished and then upload the new logs.

    Until then, Zone Alarm is causing issues.

    Code:
    fffff880`03256a18  fffff880`046ce2edUnable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\vsdatant.sys, Win32 error 0n2
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for vsdatant.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for vsdatant.sys
     vsdatant+0xa2ed
    Uninstall Zone Alarm and install MS Security Essentials and MalwareBytes.

       Note
    Make sure you uncheck the 'Enable Free Trial' box when installing.

    Also your nVidia driver is causing issues.

    I removed zonealaram, alcohol soft, and updated display drivers. Ran malaware byte and removed 2 files 'potential issues';

    the system is still carashing every few days; I have had issues where the computer is on but the screen is dead and cant' get the computer to respond; remote desktoping in also does not work [meaning its not a display issue] when the computer freezes in this state.

    I have attached most recent files; any help greatly appreciated.

    thank you

    Those latest dumps are incomplete. Can you run the tool again until it has completed and post the unedited logs in your next post.

    Can you check which driver you have installed for your USB Root Hub and report back.

    That needs updating. Without knowing what motherboard you have I can't recommend one though.
