BSOD Happenes a lot, especially when trying to launch a game.

As the title says I often recive a BSOD when trying to play videogames. Usually after installing it I launch it knowing it will blue screen. I get the error isql is not less or equal? Something along those lines. Anyway usually after the crash I go back to steam and just verify the integrity. But sadly, on Far Cry 3 this will not work. It is frustrating to have it crash so often! Today it crashed when all I was doing was watching YouTube! Anyway guys thanks for the help in advance.

Your Realtek Wireless Device is causing problems.

    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {331, 2, 1, fffff88004b4f76e}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for RTL8192cu.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for RTL8192cu.sys
    Probably caused by : RTL8192cu.sys ( RTL8192cu+8c76e )

Looking at the timestamp it is very old.

    Code:
    0: kd> lmvm RTL8192cu
    start end module name

You're welcome. Did the driver for that device come bundled with your motherboard disk?

Actually what happened was I needed wifi for this pc but I could not get the driver for that device so I went to a comp that had internet, downloaded the driver, installed it on this computer and everything was fine. I guess everything is not fine. And the download did not work. I installed and restarted my computer. I tried to luanch Far Cry 3 and I recieved the BSOD. If it helps I have a Encore N300

EDIT: I am now able to verify the integrity. Will try to launch now.

EDIT2: Game now luanched after verifying! I guess that link did help a little. Thanks for the help. But I still get the BSOD if I do not verify newly installed games. Any idea why?

Just a few things to clear up:

    • Is the Realtek Wireless adaptor onboard or separate card?
    • Did you install a newer driver?
    • If so, did installing the driver then allow you to verify games?
    • Are you verifying games in Steam or Uplay?

    1. It is a usb adapter.

    2. I installed whatever you linked me to so yes.

3&4. Yes it did. Before when I hit verify I would get a BSOD. After installing the new driver, I could not just straight up launch the game because I got another BSOD. But after it rebooted I was able to verify. I verified it through steam and then when I hit play, it opened up Uplay and then the game started from there.
