    And btw i have not had a crash in a few days. This does not mean it is fixed but I hope it stays this way.

    It's the first time I've seen this type of error - and it may take me a while to find the best way to fix it without an uninstall/reinstall of DVD Maker.

    I'll get back to you later...

    Thanks SmallzZz8, for posting the CBS information. Noel is the best to look at that, I'm glad he stopped by.

    Please also complete Noel's request in post# 20

    Thanks SmallzZz8,

    Did you build your own machine?
    Where did you get your Windows install media?

    Ok the issue is that Windows has a self defense mechanism built it when it detects Licensing issues.

    Your Windows license is for a Dell machine, but you have a retail motherboard. This violates the Microsoft EULA and Windows starts "shutting" things down operationally.

    The only way to fix this is to do a Clean reinstall with a valid retail license key.

    I would talk to the guy who runs the business and try to get him to provide you with a valid key.

    Once your system is kosher, there might not be any BSODs - that might be caused by Windows defenses.

    If you do have issues after re-installing, stop back and members will be glad to help.

    Good luck,

    Bill

    A clean install is recommended in such a situation.

    @Arc

    When i said i re-installed my windows i did a version off the internet and got my key with the magicjellybean key finder. Does this work? I didnt use the update option where it saves my desktop, I did the custom where it makes a windows.old file. And after i did that i got a few crashes but like I said now, havent got a crash in a couple of days.
