    BSOD While downloading

A BSOD appears every time when I download large files from the Internet. It says driver irql not less than or equal usually a couple minutes after the download starts. I'm not very good with computers, so could someone look at the minidump file and tell me what the problem is? I'm new here and this problem has going on for a while. Also, safe mode seems to fix the problem but its just a temporary solution. Thanks for your help

If I am doing something wrong with the layout on my post please tell me

    Hi There,

Let's use this tool so we get some more info,

    Additional information is required.

    1. Download this file to your desktop or other convenient location,

    Download

    2. Double click on the file to run it.

    3. Locate the .ZIP file created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.

The dump file in your previous post is from April, it is blaming your wireless driver though.

    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {18, 2, 1, fffff88002e3fd16}

Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrx.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for athrx.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for athrx.sys
    Probably caused by : athrx.sys ( athrx+18d16 )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    The driver is from 2010,

    Code:
    Loaded symbol image file: athrx.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrx.sys
        Image name: athrx.sys
        Timestamp: Sun Sep 26 16:52:10 2010 (4C9FDCAA)
        CheckSum: 00183D9A
        ImageSize: 00185000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
I don't see a newer one from Fujitsu but a more detailed model number of your laptop may help.

Ok so after I ran the program it placed a normal file (not zipped) on my desktop but half a second later it disappeared. Is there something else i need to do?

That is the temporary folder, it will create a zipped folder after that.

Unfortunately, I still don't see an updated driver for you there,

If you want to try this driver it may do something by reinstalling it,

    Download

It still is not making a zipped folder, just the temporary folder. But I will try re-installing the driver and see if that helps. Thanks

I took the temporary folder while it was still there and zipped it. Would this be the same?

Actually, using the temp folder just gives me a bunch of blank logs,

You can try using this method, it's a different tool,

SF Diagnostic Tool - Using for Troubleshooting

I did get some more recent dump files and they are pointing to the same driver, the last dump is from yesterday.

Since you just tried the driver, let's wait and see if it helps, if you get another crash, use the other tool to upload the info.

Just to make sure: If I uninstall from device manager can I re-install it from there?
