My PC blue screens when I turn it on
Here's the stuff
It's Norton AV causing it,
Driver Reference Table - SYMEVENT64x86.SYSCode:Unable to load image \??\C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\SYMEVENT64x86.SYS, Win32 error 0n2 *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for SYMEVENT64x86.SYS *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for SYMEVENT64x86.SYS SYMEVENT64x86+0x269f0
For the time being, uninstall your Anti-Virus,
AV Uninstallers
And Install Microsoft Security Essentials which we know doesn't cause BSOD's.
After installing MSE, make sure it's updated then run a full scan.
You might also want to run Malwarebytes AM (MBAM). Don't select the trial or activation. Use the free version.
Okay, so we're saying that it's the Norton making it BSOD?
That's what it looks like from here.
The driver called a security API then sent something via TCIP (internet). It then tried to cover-up memory and caused a page fault. Don't know what it was sending or why.
