BSOD randomly on desktop and browser, error 1000007e

I have been getting BSOD's with a random frequency over the last day or two, it only seems to be the 1000007e error.

It crashes seemingly at random while im browsing the web or is just idle on the desktop.

This is caused by your ATI Video driver. One way to try to fix this is to remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver.

Also run a system file check,

type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

If these fail to fix your problem i have some more ideas we can try.

Is there any paticular way i should go about uninstalling the catalyst control center? it does not show up as a program i can remove from the remove programs tab in the control panel. and i am a bit skeptical about manually deleting the files, as for installing only the display driver can they be downloaded from ATI's driver page as normal even though i uninstall the control center?

Also the systemscan came up with no integrity errors

This is a tutorial on how to uninstall:

However if you are saying that you don't see it installed, maybe that was the problem.
