Well that is a lot mate and I wonder what the Windows defrag would come up with now? I suspect still some defragged and they do say that the Windows feature is better suited to Windows but as I have SSD's in all my machines I don't need to use it.

Now you can set the Windows to defrag on a regular basis and if I am not mistaken to what time suits you - say for example while you have dinner or are watching TV sleeping etc see this

Then you will not have the problem happening. As I mentioned before the MyDfrag is fast but I always run the Windows one afterwards.

I usually game at my laptop when on it, which is filling up my free time.

Defraggler should be done when i return from work tonight, as i currently states it lasts 7 hours and 45 minutes to finish.

Tomorrow i will look at further tests which i have to do:

- memtest
- drive test

drive test should be first or memtest?

Ok, it is not finished yet. Though it is halfway and managed to get the fragmentation down to 60% now.

I first had over 600k fragments, which is now below 200k.

A quick update on my connectivity problem,

I find my network adapter 2 being disabled at random. Leaving me with no connection to game servers of 'world of tanks'. some how i do still have access to the browser.

Connectivity: I have disabled the wifi miniport adapter manually, so far it looks like my connection is back as it was before i got problems.

will check tomorrow again to determine if i go disable it permanently

I got no drops so far and my requests for the internet are coming through like a swarm.

Drops did came back this weekend, i am using LAN now and disabled wifi connections. I will update you later this week again.

Well, after enough hours being ingame i can tell the problems are solved by plugging in LAN and disabling wifi. However, what the cause actually is, a wrong file or problems with wificard or something, i have absolutely no clue.

Further assistance is welcome :)
