Driver power State Failure when shutting down

Hi! The last two months I have gotten BSoD with message Driver power state failure every few days. Also yesterday my computer couldn't boot up normally after this, and got the message that i had to reset the computer to an earlier point. That haven't happened before.

I have googled this BSoD message, but i kinda need a step-by-step guide how to fix this..

This happens when i turn off my computer by clicking start, and shut down. It loades forever, and then the BSoD pops up.

Any ideas? Really appreciate the help i can get :)

Sometimes drivers remain, not completely uninstalled. Follow this tutorial for complete removal of drivers of the particular program: How to Clean Left Over Driver Files with Driver Sweeper

Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall stubborn software. Opt for Advance Mode while uninstalling which allows you to remove leftover registry:-

Please remove Avira and Avast! Having two antivirus software may create conflict.

    Install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antivirus or internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

    Perform a Clean boot:

Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
    • Click on the
    • Type CMD on Search
    • Left click and Run as Administrator
    • Type SFC /scannow

    Full tutorial here:

Run Disk Check on your Hard Drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using Crystal Disk Info:

    Post back results,

Thank you so much! I have no idea how to find the drivers though, all I can find is very old ones.. :s Ugh, this is so frustrating.. Tried to download Asmedia USB3.0 Controller Driver V1.14.3.0 from ASUS, but I'm not sure if it was the right/newest driver or not :s
