BSOD on Steam Update, Bad Pool Caller or Bad Pool Header, no dmp files

Good day all, I hope someone can help me with a consistent BSOD problem I've had today.

Every time my Steam client starts up and attempts to download its latest update, I get a BSOD with a Bad Pool Caller (one time out of about a dozen crashes it was Bad Pool Header instead). I have tried the Steam support, but their guides are focused on the program crashing, not the whole computer and I have had no luck fixing it there.

I downloaded DM Log Collector and attached my report, but I want to point out now that Windows has not produced dmp files for any of these crashes, even though the correct options are checked in the "Startup and Recovery" settings.

Thank you kindly for any help you can offer.

PS - I'm headed to bed, I'll be back tomorrow around 7am EDT.

Make sure your dump logging is enabled.
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click System.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
    4. Check Write an even to the system log, and Automatically restart.
    5. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (256k).

    Location of Dumps:
    C:\Windows\minidump

The problem seems to have spontaneously fixed itself. No problems today.
