    Bsod stop: 0x0000000a irql_not_less_or_equal


    Upgrading memory on W7 Pro 64 bit from 2x 2GB to 2x 4GB (PC3-10600 CL9).

    System starts to load W7, then resets. Pressing F8 and trying Safe mode, system hangs at Classpnp then resets.

    I tried only 1x 4GB stick, and got the blue screen. Reverting to 2x 2GB gets the system back.

    The system boots Hiren's CD with the 4GB sticks just fine.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Make sure your dump logging is enabled.
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click System.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
    4. Check Write an even to the system log, and Automatically restart.
    5. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (256k).

    Location of Dumps:
    C:\Windows\minidump
