Joining the BSOD Family

Hi to all.

One more I have been pulling my hairs away for the past four days, getting random Memory_Management BSOD on my new rig.

I know the SSD hard drive is not the culprid (problem persists on fresh instal on SATA drive as well).

Don't know if it's the RAM, the MB or the Processor...

But memtest reported no error.

Bios updated to last version, all setting on auto. No antivirus installed.

Here is the minidump. DOn't know what to do with it really - I would appreciate your help!!

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Hi kampa and welcome to sevenforums

This dump was probably caused by a memory problem. The file listed as probable is ntkernl.exe but I think that is erroneous.

I would
download and run a memory test like memtestx86 preferably overnight.
run a system file check to verify the system files. to run type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow
let us know the results
If you are overclocking STOP

If you have any more bsod's upload the dumps so we can narrow the focus

Many thanks for the prompt reply. I ran the system file check but not sure which result I have to report... says "no repair operation is performed" a couple of times...

Will post further BSOD... and post memtest result in the morning.

If you think it is memory problem then it is worth replacing the RAM - right? Or can it still be the MO or the Processor?

Have you read our SevenForums Questions List for hints & tips ?

Questions to use for help with Installation Issues

Is your 3 x 2gb ram a matched set ? No overclocking ?

Seem like I have read a lot of post with problems with Asus MB's

Looks like time for a Guru Team Think session

Thanks for the link, which I just read.

The ram are a matched set yes. No overclocking. Tried to set to XMP in bios (which is support by my ram), but still BSOD.

Oh and PLEASE yes bring in the Guru Team!!

Well - memtest overnight reported more than 4000 errors... what does that mean? Faulty ram?

more news:

ran memtest with only ram 1 and two - 5 passes - no error.

then removed first two rams and ran memtest with third ram on third slod - 4 passes - no error...

thus memtest reports 4000 errors with 3 rams but none with two or one...

I am puzzled. Your imputs would be appreciated!!
