    BSOD netio.sys

Seem to be getting the BSOD while doing anything, starting to think it's random.

Remove BitDefender Antivirus as testing purpose. Use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antivirus or internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Hard Drives are fine (I have ran the disk check etc)
Scanned with my AV and also scanned with Microsoft security essentials. No viruses either :s
No idea what it could be, it just started happening. (I haven't downloaded anything new etc)

    Hi FatherDeath,

I am new to this forum and am not anywhere near as experienced as these guys on here, but I found something that might be of help. One of the guys posted this website on his post, the NETIO.SYS refers to a Windows Update. The website is Driver Reference Table (DRT)

I've recently installed a couple windows updates? Could this be an issue ?
And yes I've completed all the steps in the post provided. My hard drives are fine, there's no viruses either.

I just recently had a BSOD while idling on the desktop. Here is the log
I also just uninstalled all the updates I had installed recently (past 24 hours or so)
Done a system restart and hopefully things are working

Same error, do you have BSOD's in safe mode?

Also, it does not look like you have completed all the steps.

    1/ Remove BitDefender
    2/ Start-up software reduction

"2/ Start-up software reduction" What do you mean? I'm uninstalling bitdefender now. While in safe mode I didn't seem to crash at all when preforming the tests.
Once I've uninstalled bitdefender what do you suggest? As I don't really want to be using my pc with out an AV!
