    Freshly installed PC BSOD Win7 pro 64bit


    We have a PC at my work that has been giving me problems since I started here about 4 months ago first the pc would power down replaced the battery backup, still powering down replaced the plug to the psu because it was loose. Still kept powering down heat sink to processor was not secured. Kept having issues turning off checked psu did paper clip test and was good. Done a mem test and was good. Decided to do a fresh install and now the pc is bsod. From research that I have done it was a vista mobo and had a hard time finding some drivers. Got everything up to date and nothing get a hal.dll/ntoskrnl.exe when I run bsod viewer. Please help

    Processor: Intel core 2 duo 3.00GHz
    Mobo: Asus P5N-E SLI
    Ram: DDR2 4gb
    video: Nvidia Geforce 8400GS

    It's 0x124 hardware error caused by a corrupt translation buffer (TLB). This is how Windows translates a virtual address into a physical address and related to paging faults. These are most often caused by a bad memory module(s), an errant driver corrupting memory or malware. Some AV drivers can cause this if you're running more than one at the same time. Also, where is the Pagefile located?

    You have too many missing files in your upload so I couldn't check a few other items. You should allow up to five minutes for the utility to gather necessary files before creating the zip file.

    I used memtest86+ ill run the utility again

    It needs to run for 7-8 passes. It's better to let it run overnight but if you start getting errors right away, stop the test.

    Follow this tutorial for testing memory:
    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Forgot to mention:
    Rerun the DM collector or SF Diagnostic Utility making sure they complete before zipping the files.

    I had created 2 zip files and one had the missing files this should be the one that has the complete utility scan

    Stop TeamViewer.
    Stop running DLL Fixer.

    Perform a Clean Start/Boot using this tutorial:
    Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

    Run SFC /scannow from and elevated command prompt using this tutorial:
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Report back with the console messages from SFC.

    Also, stop trying to run updates. The update process is hosed. Let's get the system stable first.

    Something else that happened when I was done with the memtest the pc was not responding had to turn off by holding down the button then would not come back on until I unplugged it for a bit and replugged

    A 0x124 error is mostly caused by the processor

    In this particular case it would mostly point to heating.. this is as per your evenlogs.

    The critical temp is 348K ie; 74.85 deg C which is high. so the motherboard shutdown to protect the system (though some of the newer motherboards can have the CRT go up to 100 or so before shutdown)

    I would really suggest that you properly secure the heatsink+Fan to processor properly along with thermal paste first before we try anything else.
