    BSOD 0x00000050

    Hello

Recently I had problems with BSOD 0x0000003b. After updating Windows it disappeared. I overclocked my CPU to 4.5GHz and replaced my Radeon HD6970 to GTX 780 TI. Today while browsing internet new BSOD 0x00000050 popped out.

    My PC:

    Motherboard: Asus P8P67 rev 3.0
    CPU: i5-2500K
    GPU: GTX 780 TI
    Memory: GoodRam 2x 4GB CL9 1333MHz
    Hard Drives: Kingston SV300S37A 120GB | WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB
PSU: Fractal Design Newton R3 600W 80+ Platinum

Could you guys help me solve this problem?

    Welcome to SevenForums,

Firstly please update to service pack one as this can remove a lot of bugs:
    Code:
Wersja systemu operacyjnego: 6.1.7600 BRAK Kompilacja 7600
    Back to your BSOD:

    Code:
    BugCheck 50, {fffff901c05d6e74, 0, fffff9600007cca3, 5}

Could not read faulting driver name
    Probably caused by : win32k.sys ( win32k!bLoadFontFile+1f3 )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    Code:
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
       Tip

    Win32k.sys - page_fault_in_nonpaged_area -

A stop message that occurs when the demanded data is not found in memory. The system produces a fault, which usually specifies that the system looks for data in the paging file. The system cannot locate the data and recover it.

    why?

An Antivirus program, damaged hardware, a buggy system service and a ruined NTFS volume can all generate this type of error message.

    New Hardware?

If the BSOD is after the installation of new hardware, In order to fix this issue, remove the hardware to see if the error reappears, if the hardware has been added to the system newly. If the existing hardware is at fault, remove or change the faulty component and run the hardware diagnostics.

       Warning

Please make sure all of your drivers are up to date before continuing!

Awesome. Thank you for the quick reply! :)

I installed Service Pack 1 and changed my anti-virus to Avira. Then I used Avira, TDSSKiller, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and HitmanPro to scan my system. No threats found. I also checked the drivers, but a lot of them are marked in red. I'm not sure which one to update. Could you help me with it?

I don't know if it's important but BlueScreenView is showing these files as cause of the problem.

    Brilliant,

I have had a look for you, and there is nothing that stands out as a major cause.

However there are a lot of outdated drivers.

Lets take this one for example:

    Code:
    Driver Name : mv91xx.sys
    Address : 00000000`01149000
    End Address : 00000000`011D5000
    Size : 0x0008c000
    Load Count : 1
    Index : 24
    File Type : System Driver
Description : Marvell magni Windows Driver
    Version : 1.0.0.1045
    Company : Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.
    Product Name : Marvell magni
    Modified Date : 27-08-2010 19:53:22
    Created Date : 27-08-2010 19:53:22
    Filename : C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\mv91xx.sys
    File Attributes : A
    Service Name : mv91xx
    Service Display Name:
    Digital Signature :
As we can see its 2010, it may be an idea to update this, but as i mentioned that are alot of these.

Because of the bugcheck we are receiving i am 90% sure its driver related, Here is an example of your bug-check:

       Information
One example would be installing an NVIDIA graphics card in place of an ATI graphics card without changing from an NVIDIA driver to an ATI driver. Or, installing a Canon printer in place of an HP printer without changing drivers.

After you have updated all the outdated drivers, we will see how the problem looks then.

Ok, I updated some of them. It's really hard to find all.

Recently I changed the video card drivers from ATI to NVIDIA. I used this website to completely uninstall ATI drivers before installing NVIDIA drivers. Guide: How To Completely Uninstall AMD Graphics Drivers

I don't know... Maybe I left some files that are causing the issue now?

If the problems started after the change, try to change them back?

Why would I install ATI drivers back when I'm using NVIDIA card now? That would be stupid.

Hmm... Maybe this is already fixed. What do you think? I can wait and see if the BSOD appears again.

You seem to have removed your dump files but a bugcheck 50 is usually memory or RAM related, have you tested your RAM?

       Information
    MemTest86+

Run a minimum of 8 passes, preferably overnight, or until errors occur using MemTest86+.

Use this tutorial to help you use MemTest86+:
    RAM - Test with MemTest86+

That "probably caused by" above and the drivers bluescreenview pointed to are false positives, they are core Microsoft drivers and almost never the actual cause.

Yes, I used MemTest86+ to test my memory, but I didn't know that I have to run it so long. It passed 1 test without errors. I will run it over night. Thanks for advice.

    edit 2:

After more than 9 hours of testing.

No errors. So I guess my memory is fine.
