BSOD While Playing Sonic and Minecraft with Xbox 360 Controller
To be clear, I am attempting to diagnose two BSODs that have occurred with a family member's computer. We had to go through a Windows 7 system repair both times to restore computer functionality - however, I do worry that doing this might have destroyed evidence of the "true" BSOD problem. I have since run a comprehensive hard drive check and run of Memtest86 in an attempt to eliminate the possibility of a low level hardware problem. Neither test showed a problem. The computer description associated with my current forum signature is for the computer in question BTW.
The BSODs apparently occurred while playing Sonic and Minecraft with the Xbox 360 controller. There was some kind of addon software required to use the controller with Minecraft (I can post which one if necessary). In addition to the Xbox 360 controller related driver issues I have seen on the forum...the computer also had Daemon Tools installed which we have since removed!
I am attaching two minidumps which are purported to be in the time frame that the 1st BSOD occurred. I'm not sure if these dumps are useful because they were NOT generated using forum rules and had to be recovered from backup.
I'm seeing a lot of information on the forums about analyzing these files myself (WinDBG, etc.), but it will take me some time to comb through this information. If any forum pros can offer advice on the attached dumps or any other useful advice (one strategy - attempt to force another BSOD under controlled conditions...), I would appreciate it.
