    BSOD after virtulation of physical machine.


    Using Vcenter converter I converted my SBS2011. For the past couple days it has been BSOD last time was at 12xx am.

    The BSODs are network driver related; and for a virtual machine it is the guest addition, VMWare tools that installs and cares the drivers.

    Have you installed the VMWare tools?

    But the Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection .... you need to search for it in https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx .... try the Intel® Driver Update Utility.

    I did install vmtools. Its like the computer is still looking for a network adapter that is no longer there. Any ideas on how to perminatly remove the old physical nic from windows? Note it does not appear in devicemanager. Thoughts sugestion appreciated.

    If you want to remove the network adapter, you have to open the computer and remove the card from the PCI slot.

    It is not appearing in devmgmt that may either for the very old driver (of 2008) or for the VM network setting.

    Try shifting between NAT and Bridged.
