    Random BSOD while playing games.

    Hello everyone,
I've been struggling a lot recently, because I get BSOD while playing games few times a day. I used to have similiar problems about half year ago, it came back some time ago. My minidump file shows only 2 actual BSOD because I was restarting laptop before more of them were created. One of them is from today though.
My laptop is Acer Aspire 7750G running on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
    Minidumps attached.

Sheil, I will try to help you. Both dump files showed the same error code and the same cause.

    Code:
    atikmdag
    start end module name
    fffff880`0f4db000 fffff880`103eb000 atikmdag (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: atikmdag.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys
        Image name: atikmdag.sys
        Timestamp: Thu Apr 17 21:13:16 2014 (53508A3C)

Which of course is your graphics card drivers. Please download the latest driver from Acer for your card and also yell me if you have switchable graphics. Uninstall the current driver from Control Panel>Add/remove Programs. After the reboot, clean up any left over drivers using this tutorial.
Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
Select only ATI Display drivers. After that is finished, install the new drivers you have already downloaded, but select custom install and only select the display driver and whatever you are forced to install. The display driver is all that is necessary, you do not need CCC or any of the audio/HDMI drivers as those are in your motherboard drivers and can cause conflicts. See if that helps any.

Also, when playing games use a utility to keep track of your GPU and CPU temps.

Okay, I've done that dozen of times but will try again :)
Also I kept tracking my temperatures and conclusion is my laptop is burning but even if I just started a game and temperatures are around 60 it crashes.

And I think I have switchable graphics :)

    //Update

The problem arises now after I removed old drivers and downloaded those from Acer's site. I have black screen now and then laptop restarts. Minidump's attached.

OK every dump file had the same error code and the same cause, your graphics card/ graphics driver.

    Code:
    atikmdag
    start end module name
    fffff880`0846e000 fffff880`08e7c000 atikmdag (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: atikmdag.sys
        Image path: atikmdag.sys
        Image name: atikmdag.sys
        Timestamp: Thu Oct 13 06:50:13 2011 (4E96D075)

If it is not working at all, Go to the newest WHQL driver and install like this.

I am going to give you some links that will help you get a good clean install and not have any drivers you don't need that will conflict with other drivers. Download a WHQL driver from https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ndows-7-a.html . Once you have them downloaded, uninstall you current driver from control panel. next clean up any left over drivers from following this tutorial Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling and select only ATI Display Drivers. After you have done that and rebooted, install the new driver, only select custom install and install only what you have to. Very few people need most of what they include. You do not need the audio/HDMI drivers as you already have that in your Motherboard drivers. Unless there is some reason you need them, the only thing you really need is the Display Driver.

It is not cool then, done everything like You said and still got BSOD :/

What I acutally did by doing following steps? (I Found "solution" to my problem somewhere else)
Step 1: Download and install the latest ati graphic driver.AND DONT TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER INSTALLATION

Step 2: Then go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename atikmdag.sys to atikmdag.sys.old.

Step 3: Go to ati directory (usually in C:\ATI) and find the file atikmdag.sy_.

Step 4: Copy the file to your Desktop directory.

Step 5: Open cmd.exe by going to Start -> type cmd in the search box and hit enter.

Step 6: Change the directory to Desktop by typing chdir Desktop.

    Step 7: Then, type EXPAND.EXE atikmdag.sy_ atikmdag.sys.

Ok, glad it is working for you. When you think your problem is solved, please mark this thread as solved. Wherever you found it I am glad it is working for you. Just as long as your problem is solved, that's most important.

Well I don't know yet if it's working :) Need some time to test it out, for 3 hours straight I didn't get any black/blue screens, but we will see soon :)

    //Edit
Is there any program to check if my drivers aren't affecting each other? I still have some BSOD's and my temperatures aren't that high.
