BSOD after computer goes to sleep, please help!

This problem has been occurring for about 2 weeks and only now have I had the time to address it.

At first, when I would when I would leave my computer on to go to sleep and awaken it everything would not work at all. System files could not even open without ages, I couldn't even open a window to try and fix it, the internet did not work either, even when I unplugged the router and modem and re-plugged. It was as if my computer froze but I could still use my mouse and I attempted to do a regular shut down by going to the start menu and whatnot and the computer would run the usual shutdown sequence except it was taking longer than usual to shutdown so I decided to do a hard reset and manual press the button (if I didn't do this the BSOD would occur).

When I would turn on my computer again I decided to run it in Safe Mode then shut it down again and it did shut down regularly with no problem. I tested again, turned on my computer regularly in Normal Mode and restarted and everything was fine. So, to be sure I defragmented my C drive and ran the CCleaner cleaner and registry, thinking this would resolve the problem.

Sometimes I would leave my computer on from using it at night time, then proceeding to shut it down in the morning, I would comeback after being downstairs and I would see the BSOD. At night I usually like to play a few games of League of Legends or do my homework, but I've never experienced this before so I don't know what could be wrong.

Just now before deciding to look on forums to see what was wrong with my computer I had awaken it from sleep and was prompted with a window that said my computer recovered from an unexpected shutdown.'

EDIT: I wanted to check if the BSOD would happen if I were to shut down my computer and not have it wake up from Sleep Mode and nothing happened, everything was fine. The BSOD only happens if I leave my computer on, wake it up, and shut it down at a later time.
