BSOD while using Atheros AR5007UG Wireless Network Adaptor

Hello, I have been having a lot of issues with my USB wireless network adaptor. At random, it will disconnect from the internet and will only let me have local connection. I have been able to get around this by removing the usb and plugging it into a new usb slot (which is very annoying). But the worst part is that my computer keeps randomly getting BSOD. I checked the driver and it is up to date. I even uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it from here

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, but all the drives on that site are for Vista. Could that be the issue?

Also, I'm new to these forums so if you need more info, let me know.

This is quite straightforward, the driver is incompatible with Windows 7,
therefore the device should not be used with it.
