BSOD, Doing windows updates. Kernal-Power , 41, 63

Hello all and thanks for any help in advance :) I am just recently new to these forum`s.

As of proble 2 - 3 days ago after i did a fresh install of my OS on this computer have started getting random BSOD - Kernal Power - 41 - 63

During windows updates. ( after resetting, when windows update is configuring ) Under event viewer. Here is the following report as of what its giving me at least.

No minidump was created ( I have checked. Only thing i could find was event view of the BSOD )

Please make sure your system is configured for Small Memory Dumps Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Knight82, Will you make sure you are running the latest BIOS Version and Make sure all of your drivers are up to date. A Kernel Power even 41 is a pretty generic event, meaning that the computer rebooted unexpectedly. Usually that is because of a bad driver or bad hardware. What is concerning about yours is a Bug Check code of 0 means you either have a Very Bad driver or a Hardware issue.

Please make sure you have run all Windows updates and check that all were successful. Then, please boot into safe mode and run in safe mode for as long as possible to see if it happens there. Either do that or use a Live Linux CD/USB drive and use it for as long as possible.

If you are overclocking anything, please set it back to default values, at least until we get this straightened out. By requesting Safe mode or Live Linux, I am trying to see if it is a driver or software problem.

This is a fresh install. So i have actualy been doing system updates. Seem`s that these bsod`d have actualy just started since i put my 1tb SSD in i am woundering if maybe the drive is bad ?

I just ran the 1st scan in sfc /scannow says windows reource proteciton found corrupst files but was unable to fix them.

going to re-boot now and run test again after re-boot will keep you updated

Nothing is OC`d I reset my bios to default. i am running ont he latest asus bios currently as well.

Scan 2 done, Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them ( doing 3rd reset now )

OK, just let me know. We'll try to figure it out. Corrupt system files could possibly do it. The Samsung Magician should tell you whether you have the latest firmware on the SSD.

Just use it to run the computer. All Hardware will be in use, but no drivers.

Also, do you have a spare hard drive that you can use for another install? Just as a test to see if that's the problem.
