BSOD after start up, no error message, no restore points

    Hello every one,

Well, i thought i knew something from computers, but with this problem i am out of ideas.

Acer laptop 5530G, new mainboard worked for an month. Then after starting up windows 7 - 32bit, get the windows logo, and then i just get a black screen with mouse pointer that can be moved.

Non of the key combinations works, non explorer, non start, nothing. I have re-installed windows to, and it worked for an hour, but after the third time startup i got the same situation back. I tried to flash the bios, but the bios update from acer doesnt work, wrong ROM filename message.

If i try to set the system back, it says that there is no restore point, as well in the old as the new installation.

I checked the register winlogon, and that was all as Microsoft described. What Microsoft more described about setting a new video adapter driver is not possible, because the screen is black and nothing works.

Setting the BIOS back to default settings doesnt bring any changes ether.

Starting in safe mode, got the same black screen.

With f8 i can get in repair tools and am able to open an command prompt, but there ends my luck some how.

Now i did found a solution my self.

The problem was that rpcss.dll was removed by the virus scanner.

An week before there where rpcss.dll files circulating which where infected what placed the file on the virus list.

Because of the removal of that file, windows makes changes that you need to solve then to.
What you need to do, is to dissable your virus scanner, then place the file back in the system32 directory from the origional windows disk from the right install directory, start in safe mode, do an sfc /scannow in repair system with command prompt, then restart windows normal and do an virus scan and exclude the file rpcss.dll from the virus list.
