BSOD playing WoW, error 0x0000009F and 0x00000116

    Hi,

I had the BSOD 0x116 a few months ago, but I was able to fix it by updating old drivers. It appeared again today, but after I had a bunch of 0x9F errors. I am unsure as to what/where my problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Yoshi

Hello and welcome Yoshi mate there areseveral refs to a Graphics Driver issue now I would suggest at least update thegraphics driver and see what happens this is the GeForce driver and you could even try the auto detect button down beneath that ref just to see which of the graphics you are using

Thanks for the reply. I have the latest driver already, it updated a couple weeks ago, on 10/22. It is nVidia GeForce GTX 675M, driver 344.48

Well I guess we have to look elsewhere. I suppose it would not hurt to run these

    just to eliminate anything there.

I did the disk check before I posted here. I just finished the system file checker and it said, "Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." I also went back a graphics driver version to see if it was that but I still had the 0x116 error. A weird thing that happened after I downloaded and installed some recommended/optional Windows updates, during the shutdown process after completing the install, my computer was on the "shutting down" screen for 5 minutes then blue screened with the 0x9F error.

I also went to regedit and changed the TdrDelay to 8 from this "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error in Windows 7 or Windows Vista site and that didn't fix it too

Yoshi there are still refs to a graphics driver issue and I am wondering if the graphics chip/s are functioning properly if the right drivers are installed.

By the by I make it a habit of backing up the registry immediately after a reinstall or making changes to the registry see this my friend it could save you an awful lot of grief should you do something wrong in the reg.

Only takes a couple of minutes if that.

Good to hear Yoshi now we have to find the problem:)
If you like I might throw tis to the others as they are probably more intuitive with those dumps files. I shall still be around as I really would like to know what they think.
