BSOD shortly after starting PC (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT)
Hi all,
I get similar BSOD's every couple of days (see dump files in attachment). They always seem to occur very shortly after starting the PC; either quickly after entering the windows environment (without starting any programs) or shortly after opening the browser or similar program. Remarkably, I can play Battlefield 4 for hours without any BSOD. In fact, I never had a BSOD while playing intensive games. Because of this, I highly doubt it is faulty RAM and I also did a run of memtest86 without errors.
Things I have tried so far:
- Updated all drivers with DriverMax
- Switched antivirus program after reading online this might help (from Avast to Microsoft Security Essential)
- Memtest86
- Remove all programs from startup list except antivirus
- Uninstalled all programs I do not use regularly
I have tried to use driver verifier, but it crashes when I try to stress all drivers. It does not give a BSOD however, so I do not get any information out of it. This again implies (to me) it is a driver issue, but I have no clue how to find the faulty driver.
Any help would be appreciated!
