    Have you checked the Power Settings in the BIOS ? .... Did you run Windows Updates ?

    I did do a settings change in the BIOS, either you or someone from the Windows 8 forum told me to do that. I always check for Windows updates everyday.

    There is a driver update for that TXE thing. I saw that on the Acer Support website last night.

    It booted in restart mode this morning, so I did the command in command prompt (admin) on what you just sent me. Let me try it again. By any chance, do you think this is driver related?

    Turn on fast startup (recommended) is unchecked.

    Sleep is checked.

    Hibernate is unchecked.

    Lock is checked.

    When I press the power button: Shut down.

    When I press the Sleep button: sleep.

    Password protection on wakeup

    Require a password (recommended): not selected.

    Don't require a password: selected.
