BSOD Downloading Zorin

This laptop is one that I have been working on. Its a HP dv6-10564cl 2.XX Ghz Core Duo processor with 4 GB ram and Standard touchpad by synaptics. Needed to replace the original MB due to keyboard connector being bad on original. Replaced the battery and it seems the battery I got is not working correctly and is in the process of RMA. The BSOD occurred with AC power connected without the battery. Earlier today I had the laptop unexpectedly just quit. No Blue screen at all. This happened 2 or 3 times. To start it back up, I had to disconnect AC power press the power button and hold for 20 -30 seconds. Then put AC power back and then press power button to start.

System would go on to restart. Checking on BIOS it was #45 and HP had another version #46. I downloaded everest and ran stress test for 30 min. CPU temp at 100% got to 80' C. I closed everest and clicked to open Speccy and it just shut off again. Now idea why. I updated it and then tonight got this BSOD.

Any help is and will be appreciated.

I was hoping someone could look at this and help me determine what is causing this laptop to turn off.

Having fun with Zorin
No, Zorin is not my dog or my Russian girlfriend, it is a Linux Operating System. And a very nice OS that will not discombobulate a Windows user because the user interface is very much like Windows. I am running Zorin (and Windows 8) from an external SSD attached via USB3 in a virtual partition...
