    BSOD Windows 7 Ultimate

I'm angry to say the least, I really hope I can get some service.

I recently freshly installed Windows 7 x64, upgrading from Windows XP x64.

I keep getting a bluescreen which reads:

    0x00000124 etc.etc.

sometimes the bluescreen will last awhile, sometimes it'll be a blur that it goes by so quickly.

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 124
    BCP1: 0000000000000000
    BCP2: FFFFFA8004B71028
    BCP3: 00000000B6002000
    BCP4: 0000000087000135
    OS Version: 6_1_7600
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:

I think it was because the sata cable going into my harddrive was only half-way plugged in.

    Nope, terrible luck.

That didn't fix it at all, :/

I read it, and I have followed every step precisely.

I even left the side of my case off.

In that case, test what happens when you "vanilla" reinstall the OS from scratch - no apps, no updates, no games, no newer drivers... nothing at all that's not part of the Windows disc. If you still experience 0x124 crashes, the most obvious reason is that the hardware really is faulty, as the message is ultimately suggesting.

(I should add that to the write-up, thanks.)

So it is a problem with my hardware, but I don't know where to start.

    (I did a fresh installation)

How about my dxdiag here? Does it provide any useful information? Why does it show me having 2 sounds? should I disable onboard? Also, it says I have directx11, but I believe my graphics card only does directx10, is that a conflict?

Hardware can be any physical part of your computer.
