    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+2e45f (DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE)

This started happening two months ago and has now happened three times this month. I notice my wifi/internet disconnects first, then my pc hangs up if I try to use any Windows System apps (i.e. control panel, system panel, etc..). When I try to reboot the pc it just hangs until I get the BSOD and then it'll reboot. I have attached a zip file with the last four crash dump files. I also attached a screenshot and report txt files. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and let me know if there is anything else I can provide for help.

    Thanks,

    Wally

Which is your Atheros network adapter driver

See your manufacturer's Web site for your computer and see if you can get an updated driver for it. Also make sure all of your windows updates are current and be sure to run the BSOD posting instructions.
Also, please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Thank you essenbe for your response. The usbhub.sys is a new one I was unaware of. I ran the sfc /scannow three times yesterday and all checked out ok. I unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for the Atheros Driver (I read in other threads). Not sure if this going to help or not. Every check I've done thru Acer, Windows, Atheros, etc.. indicates that my drivers are up-to-date. I don't believe it though. I have attached a DM Log File and a SF Log file (both zipped). Sorry I didn't follow that protocol before. I am a civil engineer with no tech support and am very busy, but protocol is protocol. Thanks again in advance for the help. Truly Appreciated!

It's not a problem about protocol, it's that it provides us with the info to help us determine the problems you are having. I am noticing that you are having quite a few errors in your AutoCAD program. You may want to see if there are any updated drivers for it. Also in the files you uploaded today there were no dump files like you uploaded yesterday. Did you delete the files or move them? If you are using any disk cleanup programs, most of them will delete windows error reporting files by default. If you have used any, please don't delete any error reporting files.

Also, please make sure your computer is configured to create Small Memory Dumps. This will tell you how,
Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD and please check in C:/windows for a folder named Minidump. If there is not one or you deleted it, please create one there. You should have a C:/Windows/Minidump folder there to put the dump files in.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to this. I really appreciate the help I have received so far. I'm not sure what has happened, but now when I get the same symptoms the machine doesn't crash and get the usual BSOD. Instead it just hangs when trying to shut the machine down or restart. I can let it sit for a few hours in an apparent loop at the shutdown screen but no bsod so I have to do a hard re-boot. The only difference is I now have the machine hard wired to the router instead of using wireless. (see my original post above). I also notice that my processor keeps maxing out and things get sketchy...that's how I know what's getting ready to happen. I'm not sure what to do at this point or how to get the proper files to upload here since I don't get the BSOD. Thanks again in advance for any and all help.

    Happy New Years and Cheers!

Happy New Year to you too. Please post Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

    Please run these programs

    Scan with Kaspersky TDSSKiller:
    http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses...on/5350#block1
    Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

    ESET online scanner:
Free Virus Scan | Online Virus Scanner from ESET
Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

What type of autodesk programs are you running. Don't most of those programs require a lot more CPU usage than most?

       Warning
Be sure to create a System Restore point before proceeding further System Restore Point - Create

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.
       Information

    What is Driver Verifier:
It puts stress on the drivers, and tries to make the faulty driver crash the computer. It is designed this way, to attempt to trap the offending driver.

    What you will notice:
It will tend to make the computer rather slow and sluggish because the drivers are being stressed.
       Warning

Before enabling DV, make sure you have created a system restore point before enabling Driver Verifier. make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

I had a hard time getting into Windows this morning. I uninstalled two versions of autocad over the weekend hoping that might help some. I was wrong. I am currently using Autocad 2015 Basic. Whatever is going on is severely cpu intensive. I've been using autocad since the early 90's and have never had this many problems...if that is even what it is. I ran the SF Diag Tool and the DM Log Collector. Hopefully there is something useful in the data that you can find. I noticed that there is no dump file...not sure what happened. Thanks again and I hope to hear back from you soon.

You show an error today for WSCommCntr4.exe. There are no dump files in your uploaded files.
