    BSOD caused by netr28x.sys

    Hello everybody.

I`ll start fro the beggining, where the problems has started. Okay, so on saturday, before going sleep i`ve just turned off PC like i`m doing it always. But when i woke up he problems has started. My PC said he can`t recognize my network card, but EVERYTING worked fine the day before. Well i was very suprised, becouse i got much free time now and my PC had to crash. So, i tried to restart PC first (ofcourse), and when it didn`t help i`ve tried to download any latest drivers, but i actually had newest. I`ve spent on it many hours, so i decided to send my data from my PC and try to install new system. I`ve been installing my actual system (after formatting dics) again, everything went okay to the critical point. A point called BSOD. It appeared after i chose language etc. and after unpacking stuff, near completing installation. It said about netr28x.sys. Other system won`t work also. I`ve got Edimax wireless 802.11b/g/n 32-bit PCi Adapter EW-7711ln/EW-7722ln. Every help would be very welcome. If you will need any other info ask me and i`ll be happy for any responses.

    Merry Christmas, Jacob

    SSD or HDD?

Have you tried unplugging the ethernet cable during installation?

    blue screen error message

    Hi Karzual,

There is a website (Driver Reference Table (DRT)) that is a dedicated Driver Reference Table and the message you are receiving (netr28.sys) is saying your blue screen is being caused by your WiFi Adapter driver. I would remove it from the pc/laptop and then try to reinstall it. The website is really helpful for blue screen error issues. Hope this helps resolve your issue.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Disconnect the ethertnet cable from the router and PC if you have a wired internet connection. Physically remove the wireless card from the PC.

Now install as normal. When you are finished, we can reconnect the internet again.

    blue screen error message

    Hi Karzual,

I meant to remove the wireless card from the pc (like Golden mentioned). I apologize for not wording that correctly originally.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
