    BCCode: 124 cause crashing

    Hi,

I just got my new custom computer (Windows 7 Ultimate, i7-4790 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730, 8GB memory from G.skills) and from time to time it crashes and I get this error:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 124
    BCP1: 0000000000000000
    BCP2: FFFFFA800A862028
    BCP3: 00000000BF800000
    BCP4: 0000000000200401
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\122614-50793-01.dmp
    C:\Users\WishkermanDesktop\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-129699-0.sysdata.xml

I am lost and need help. As all the drivers are updated, can someone tell me how can I solve it? what is the problem?

    Thanks a lot

ello, dkin and welcome to the forums. I will try to help you if I can. but I need you to do a few things for me.

Please run www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html#option2 and post the unedited results in your next post. Then

Please fill out your System Specs

       Information
Your System Specs will help us to help you, and doing it in this manner will make them available to all helpers in every post and keep us from hunting for them. We ask that you fill them out in as much detail as possible including Desktop or Laptop, Model number if it is an OEM computer and all components with the Manufacturer and Model number if possible.

If you will go to your last post and click the 'System Specs' in the bottom left of the post, you will find a link to update your system specs. Please fill those out in as much detail as possible, making sure to click save at the bottom of the page. If you would like to know what we would like, you can click 'My System Specs' at the bottom left of this post to see mine. If you do not know what your components are, this will help you accomplish this task. System Info - See Your System Specs

If you are overclocking anything please set everything back to default levels.

Also, please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

    Here's all I am getting

    Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
    BugCheck 124, {0, fffffa800a860028, bf800000, 200401}
    Probably caused by : GenuineIntel
    Followup: MachineOwner
A stop code of 0X124 is a general hardware fault meaning there is a hardware problem or a bad driver that is causing hardware to behave as if it were faulty. It gives us no indication of what hardware it is. If you have made any recent hardware or software changes, please let me know. I notice you have a Gigabyte motherboard. If you have any of the Gigabyte utilities installed, please uninstall them.

    Steve,

Hope you don't mind, but I was interested in this BSOD. You are 100% correct - its flippin Gigabyte with their crap software again.

    Code:
    Debugging Details:
    ------------------

    BUGCHECK_STR: 0x124_GenuineIntel

    CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1

    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: WIN7_DRIVER_FAULT

    PROCESS_NAME: thermald.exe

    CURRENT_IRQL: f

    ANALYSIS_VERSION: 6.3.9600.17029 (debuggers(dbg).140219-1702) amd64fre
dkin - follow Steve's suggestions and you will be BSOD free.
