Did a system image restore now get bsod

Bought a bare bones kit, Asus motherboard amd 8-core cpu 1TB wd hardrive, 8GB memory, It all went together fine, I installed w-7 64-bit os system that went fine, Then I partitioned the drive, 500GB & 431GB the windows-7 64-bit on the 500GB, formatted the 431gb partition and installed w-7 32-bit from my old PC, which I had backed up on to an external drive, When i try to start the w-7 on 32-bit, Screen flashes blue, not enough time to read what it say's then just goes back into the windows logon, Can still get into my w-7 64-bits fine, any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks

Trying to install a backed up old version of Windows onto a completely new computer will not work. If you had created the an image of the old 32 bit Windows with a program such as Macrium Pro you could use the redeploy feature in conjunction with it's bootable CD or USB thumb drive to install the image, but this program is not free.
The reason it will not work is that the new system has different drivers & hardware & many other variations that prevent it.
The only other alternative is to do a completely fresh reinstall the Windows 32 bit OS, as you have done with the 64 bit one. Then you can copy over your personal files from the backed up drive.
Of course you will have to reinstall all other software programs that you have as you can't copy those across, so you will need their activation codes.
With all this in mind, why bother installing the 32 bit Windows at all. If you have to do all this you may as well just use the 64 bit system & reinstall all your software in the 64 bit version. This might require buying the 64 bit versions of the activation codes if necessary. Your personal data files should work after you copy them across.

You can Make Windows 7 bootable after motherboard swap which will remove prohibitive Hardware and Security IDs and most drivers so when it starts it changes out all drivers requesting multiple restarts. Monitor this activity in System Tray then when complete install all Important and Optional Updates until there are no more. Only then import any missing drivers from the PCs Support Downloads webpage, from which you may need to obtain network adapter driver up front to get online.

Thanks Ranger4, just about to do a clean install, then got the reply from gregrocker, Followed his instructions and was up and running, I had a little problem with the drivers especially to get on the internet, downloaded them with my old pc transferred them to a flash-drive installed them and everything was fine, Thanks again guy's
