That's the on chip graphics in your CPU. You obviously do not have a dedicated graphics card, so you don't have switchable graphics.

Happy New Year to you. Please let me know your CPU temps when you have time, Core Temp is what I use, but I think it works better with Intel than AMD. AMD has only 1 temp sensor, so it will only show you 1 Temp. That's OK we can deal with that. It will also show you your maximum temp. Software, any program, is notoriously wrong. Most of that is because both Intel and AMD use algorithms but won't tell anyone what they are. So, software companies have to try to figure them out. So, look at temps as a close approximation of temps. My rule is to say 10-15C below what they say is max. So, let me know what your temps are at idle and while doing normal work. Also try the most CPU intensive thing you normally do and let me know your temps there.

Hi. I've installed the Core Temp x64 and am attaching the feedback (screenshot and dump).

I'm not sure it's a temperature issue because when yesterday when I left the computer on (but wasn't doing any work),I came home to a BSOD.

Also, about 4 days ago I ran Prime 95 and it didn't BSOD.

Perhaps it's an electrical issue with the motherboard? I'm not sure :-( I lack experience with this stuff but I'm happy to follow any suggestions and recommendations that you have and I appreciate you taking the time to help me.

OK, thanks. Lets try this.

Be sure to create a restore point manually before enabling Driver Verifier. Link is below on how to do it. Use the computer any way you want to. When you enable it, sort the drivers by provider and enable all drivers not supplied by Microsoft. Run Driver verifier for 24 hours of actual use. We are trying to make it BSOD and hopefully trap the driver causing the problems.

   Warning
Be sure to create a System Restore point before proceeding further http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/697-system-restore-point-create.html

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.
   Information

What is Driver Verifier:
It puts stress on the drivers, and tries to make the faulty driver crash the computer. It is designed this way, to attempt to trap the offending driver.

What you will notice:
It will tend to make the computer rather slow and sluggish because the drivers are being stressed.
   Warning

Before enabling DV, make sure you have created a system restore point before enabling Driver Verifier. make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Hi. I've done research on Driver Verifier and I'm worried to use it. A lot of people say that it does more harm than good, and that, at best it's hit or miss. A few people said that they could no longer log in after using it.

Is there another program or solution that you recommend?

Thank you.

No. Driver verifier puts strain on the drivers trying to make the bad driver crash so we can hopefully find it. That's also why a lot of people couldn't log in after using it, and they didn't create a restore point before enabling it. Feel free to do whatever you want.

SavingHumanity, you need to understand that every test you run and every thing you do, there is a risk in, Every time your computer BSODs, there is a risk too. No matter what you do, it may result in having to reinstall Windows. But, you may have to do that anyway. There are no guarantees in life. If you don't trust me, perhaps I can find someone you do trust.

Hi SavingHumanity.

If you follow the post #26 by essenbe, Driver Verifier will not cause any big issue for you.

DV is risky, for sure. But that post contains all the possible safeguards against the risks involved.

So dont be worried, follow it. You have essenbe with you to take care of your you issue, that means a big thing.

Hi. Thank you so much. I have downloaded Driver Booster 2 and SlimDrivers have updated the drivers that both programs have mutually identified as needing updating.

I'm hoping that this will help fix the problem. My system gives me a BSOD about 1-2x a day randomly.

If the driver updates do not fix the problem, then I will follow the instructions by essenbe and use Driver Verifier.

I appreciate all of the help. It's not a matter of trust, as I am the one who is indebted to you and in need of help. Rather it's a question of trying to mitigate risk. Oftentimes less is more so I'm trying to be conservative.

I will use Driver Verifier if I receive the BSOD again :-)

I assume it's follow directions to a T. Sorry about that. I think I just got worried because I read some bad things about Driver Verifier.

I will do better and have already created the System Restore point, I'm just waiting for it to BSOD again.

Any sort of driver identifier programs are not reliable. To update a driver, go straight to the computer manufacturer's website, or the device manufacturer's website. Dont trust third party.

Hi. Thank you for everything. I have run the Driver Verifier for 24 hours and, surprisingly, there hasn't been a BSOD. It's made my computer slow but it hasn't given me a BSOD.

My problems started on December 29-30, about a day after I updated some software. I updated Skype, Audacity, Virtual DJ and I think 1-2 others.

I've since uninstalled Skype and Virtual DJ, yet I don't think it fixed the problem because yesterday morning (before running Driver Verifier) it gave me a BSOD.

I'm attaching the latest crash report. The crash report is in the latest dump. Also, I'm attaching the latest installed programs.

It may just be a coincidence that the BSOD started after the software was updated.

My computer battery is also shot, and when I start the computer, it tells me that i should replace it. So I thought that this may be contributing to the problem, so I unplugged the charging cord and left the computer on battery for 30 minutes, but it didn't give me a BSOD.

The final thing is that the BSOD has changed a bit. Previously it would give me a Blue screen and then i would have to manually reset the computer.

Yet recently the BSOD has only flashed very briefly and then it would automatically restart the computer.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats including stop 0x124 BSOD.

Let us know the situation after installing Service Pack 1.

Hi. Thank you. Is there another way besides installing the update?

This problem began around December 29 / 30th after I updated some software. Prior to that, I never had any issues.

I only use the computer to surf the internet and complete my work and don't like loading any unnecessary updates / software on it.

Perhaps if I uninstalled some software that I had previously installed on December 28?

But, if you believe that the installation of SP1 has a high probability of solving the issue and there is no alternate route, then I'll install SP1.

My only comment is that I hadn't have SP1 installed for ~3 years previously and never encountered this situation previously.

Thank you for your help - attached i'm including the software that's been installed.

You really do need to install Service Pack 1. It closes a lot of security holes as do the windows updates you should keep current with. You also do not need a registry cleaner. They cause more problems than the help. Windows 7 is very capable of dealing with the registry.

Hi. It actually gave me a BSOD, which is odd cause for 24+ hours it didn't restart when using Driver Verifier and I just restarted the computer about 2 hours ago and around 7pm on January 8, it did a BSOD.

I'm attaching the latest report (dump report).

I'll install the service updates.

My gut feeling, and you guys know a lot more than I do, is that it may be a hardware issue.

if the software stuff doesn't work, then maybe I should replace a part? Obviously a software solution is preferable, but i'm not sure it's possible.

I'll report back soon :)
