    BSOD System_Service_Exception 0x0000003B

    Hello Everyone,

I recently re-installed and reformatted my HP m9520f Win7 Ultimate 64-bit system and I encountered the third time of having the BSOD "System_Service_Exception 0x0000003B" error. I have installed the most recent NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS driver update to see if it solves the problem but nothing was solved. I also went to the Advanced Boot Options and did the last known good configuration option but did not work.

BSOD appears when I shut-down the PC without restarting. More information on how to solve this problem would be sincerely appreciated.

Here's the following error log during the unexpected shutdown:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:

Symantec/Norton seems to be the issue - replace with MSE and monitor system for stability.

I appreciate your response, I uninstalled Norton and replaced it by Bitdefender, a few hours later I again received the same 3b code of the BSOD and the PC instantly restarted. I attached another update of the DM log.

Received a second BSOD of the day and this time is C4

A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught.
The faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced with a working version.

This time, follow the suggestions, instead of doing your own thing. BSOD analysts have a habit of disregarding threads where the advice given is ignored. It compounds the analysis for us, and makes it a lot harder to arrive at a quick solution.

Outdated video drivers cannot be expected to work flawlessly as the operating system is updated - keep your device drivers updated.
Uninstall the existing NVidia drivers completely, then follow this:
Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling

Now install the latest stable Nvidia drivers precisely as explained here:
    NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems

    Code:
    fffff880`068104f8 ffff000a`0d313834

    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Intel® Matrix Storage Manager	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Intel® Matrix Storage Manager	Public
    Create a System Restore Point:
    System Restore Point - Create

Now uninstall the Intel matrix Storage manager software from Control Panel.

    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\SlimDrivers	Public:Start Menu\Programs\SlimDrivers	Public
Remove all 3rd party driver finder applications, this one is of dubious value - where possible, leave this as an absolute last resort if drivers cannot be located directly from the manufacturers sites.
