Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit

Are you sure that you have installed AOMEI PE Builder on a Windows 7 32bit machine? Please check and confirm. AOMEI PE Builder does not support Windows XP/2003/Vista

When you run the PE Builder this will be the first screen.

Attachment 346932

Clicking Next, this should be the second screen.

Attachment 346933

Does it say your system supports creating the bootable media? If not what else does it say??

Please post a screenshot.

From AOMEI PE Builder Notes:

"Before creating Windows PE, PE Builder will check whether the system environment supports Windows PE creation or not. There are two kinds of environment support creating Windows PE: one is the system self-contained recovery environment (WinRE); the other is manually installed Windows AIK/ADK. If system has both kinds, program will pick recovery environment first; if there is neither, program will inform users with “download and install Windows AIK/ADK”. Just as what the following picture shows.
Note: There is no need for most computers to download AIK/ADK. They can create Windows PE directly. Therefore, don’t worry about it."

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview 64-bit

Golden told me to post in some of his thread, so I am doing it.

0xF4 and 0x7A head to head means disc error.

Try Seatools for DOS as suggested earlier. If Seatools does not detect any disc, boot into the BIOS, set the storage controller mode to IDE and run the test again. DOS cannot read AHCI.

Take both the short generic test and long generic test.

About Rufus, I am not sure. I tried Win32 DiscImager only. If you dont have it, you may download it anytime, it is a vey tiny program.

Let us know the result.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit

The screenshot does show that that system supports creating bootable media. Why is your pendrive not showing up in it?????? You said you had even formatted it and you can see it in explorer.

OK, now go ahead with Seatools for DOS as suggested by Arc. I do not want to double tax you (Arc+jumanji :)) right now.

I shall come in again with an alternate plan of creating the AOMEI WinPE to try data recovery depending upon how it goes with Arc.
