BSOD playing wow, dxgmms1.sys
Hello,
I've been having a lot of trouble with several different blue screens, some of which I believe have been solved. This one has repeated so I thought I would find out what is wrong. The recent story of this computer is that my hd5870 stopped working (at the same time that i added 8gb of ram), completely broken whilst other cards worked fine in the computer. I replaced the card with a GTX 760 which I thought would be completely fine with my gigabyte 720 watt power supply. I kept getting blue screens when the card reached a certain power usage and determined that it was an issue with the power supply. I then replaced the power supply with a corsair vs650 which, according to calculator utilities, would be more than enough power for my system. I also reformatted the computer and ran the windows memory diagnostic which showed no errors. I later went to do another scan with it, but increased the passes to 10, and it stopped at 21%. I also tried to do a memtest from a usb but the computer never booted from it when i selected to boot from the usb in the bios. The most recent bluescreen, which is the title of the thread, I got whilst playing wow and it is one I have gotten before.
I am also having a lot of difficulty finding the dump file for this recent bluescreen. Immediately the blue screen before this one I changed system failure settings in startup and recovery, as recommended by a thread on this site. Even though my settings seem correct, the computer still says that it cannot find %SystemRoot%\Minidump and hence I can't find the dump file.
What i recorded from the bluescreen was as follows;
dxgmms1.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
The last time i got this bluescreen I tried a fix where I disabled the graphics audio driver. It has however returned so I am lost as to what to do. Any help would be very appreciated.
EDIT: I have since gotten memtest to work and am doing a scan now.
Thanks in advance!
