New R9 290! Crashes even non-gaming

I recently purchased a new Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 along with a new EVGA 750W power supply and my computer hasn't been the same ever since. I can run in Safe Mode without crashing, however running Windows normally crashes every 20 minutes or so - sometimes sooner.

Here's the report. I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Can anyone answer whether I posted this incorrectly or in the wrong subforum? I cannot understand how this thread has received so many views but no replies.

If there's any other information I can offer I would be happy to.

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try: Stop 124 - What it means and what to try

Did you update to the latest drivers? If yes, start working your way back the drivers' list until you find one that works. My XFX R9 hates the latest driver - would exhibit the same symptoms as yours, but the one-step older one works without issues.

Before installing video drivers I recommend using DriverSweeper in Safe Mode to clean the old ones.

P.S. You didn't say if you are getting BSOD errors.
