Ongoing BSODs at random times

Hi all,
I made a post regarding this issue back in December but never received any replies, and that thread seems to have been deleted. Please let me know if there is any issue with this post so I can rectify it.

As in the title, I am suffering from recurrent BSODs with my laptop. I can't tie them to any particular event; they occur while gaming, word-processing, browsing or even at idle while I'm not at the computer.

I've attached the required files as extracted by the SF diagnostic tool, as well as the output from windbg for each of the dump files to try to save you some time.
My understanding of these is limited, however the "probably caused by:" section of these is dominated by "csrss.exe" and "memory_corruption".

I have done a bit of googling around these issues and have subsequently run memtest86 and chkdsk, both seemed fine.

Please help me if you can as this problem is starting to drive me nuts.

Test your HDD with Seatools for DOS. Take both the short generic test and the long generic test.
* Be careful that your storage controller mode is AHCI.

Let us know the results.

Hi Arc, thanks for your reply.
As instructed I've run both the short and long tests on seatools and both have come up OK. Do you have any other ideas on where to go from here?
I've noticed that the computer does not always manage to create a dump file on BSOD. I've attached a picture I manage to get yesterday of one before it went to black screen, no dump file created. Could this be another sign of failing memory or HDD?

Next, re-seat the sata and power.

If possible, apply a new SATA cable and then connect that cable to an unused SATA port on the motherboard.

See how it goes.

Thanks Arc.
Before I go ahead and tear the laptop apart, I thought I'd just check something though: Does my HD even have cables? From memory it docks directly to a connector on the motherboard. Best image I could find of this is

If you still think it's worth doing I can take out the hard drive and check connection then reseat. Not a big job after all.

No, it does not have cables. In that case you dont need to open it up.

I thought is is a disc related issue because of these info from your dumps ....

DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware

But you are saying that the disc checks have all passed.

I can say that better you take the long test using Seatools for DOS (not windows) for one more time.

Ok will run the long test again ASAP. I'm strongly considering installing a SSD to boot from and installing the current HD in place of the optical drive for media storage anyway. If there is a disk problem which the tools aren't picking up then this could remedy it? Will get back to you once I've run seatools.

Hi again,
I've run another long test using seatools, passed result.
It may be an overkill solution, but I wanted to switch to an SSD anyway so have ordered one from amazon, (Crucial MX100 256GB). Will do a clean install on this when it arrives and see if the problem persists, then post back with results.
