    i didn't install windows, my friend did and now i have these annoying blue screens of death

    Bad news friend - that installation is counterfeit. Counterfeit installations cause all sorts of problems.

    Reinstall the original operating system that came with your system, otherwise purchase a genuine version of Windows 7/8.
