Appcrash On EVERY program installation

Hi all,
I just downloaded and installed windows 7 professional on my pc.Everything seems fine except I can't install anything that I've downloaded,including firefox 3.5,itunes 9.02 and the latest forceware for my graphics card...My specs are: Intel core 2 duo quad q6600,geforce 9800 gt,2 gb ram...

You have to download the right versions for the version of Windows you installed.

If you installed x64 64-bit of Windows 7, download x64 64-bit software.

If you installed x86 32-bit of Windows 7, download x86 32-bit software.

You can find out which you did by typing system information in the start menu search box. Hit enter. Look for the line that says "system type."

I got the right version of each program I tried installing..Anyways the problem seems to have been solved by itself,it just started running everything after a few restarts (and a few kicks!lol)...thanks anyways..!
