Computer keeps restarting at random times and shows BSOD

    Hi,

My computer keeps restarting itself at random times. Sometimes it shows
the BSOD for a second or two (not long enough to read or copy it) and
sometimes I just see "entering power save mode" without the BSOD.

This has been happening over the past few months, sometimes very
rarely (once every couple of days) and sometimes several times a day.

I've run Scandisk, SFC, Startup Repair (several times), several malware
/ virus programs, did several system restores, almost everything short of a
windows 7 reinstall (I have the install / repair disk)... not sure where to go
    from here??

    Please help!!! Thank you!

    Norton strikes again!

Uninstall it completely using this tool:
    Norton Removal Tool Download

Install and use MSE in its place.

    Hi, Thanks for your hep!

I ran the Norton Removal Tool (ran it twice) and it seemed to take care of the crashing.

Now I keep getting a popup that says "Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working" upon start up.

I am able to use Google Chrome to get online.

Any suggestions to get IE working?

    Thanks again!
