Actually I am pretty sure the machine has a dedicated TV card inside just like they come with wireless cards but as yet cannot find any way of where it is located.

There is a driver for it as you can see in this Support :: Toshiba :: Computers, Laptops/Notebooks, Tablets, Televisions, DVD and Blu-Ray Players, Camcorders, Storage, Accessories, and more and there are instructions to work the thing if installed How To :: How do I set up my TV Tuner? :: Support :: Toshiba :: Computers, Laptops/Notebooks, Tablets, Televisions, DVD and Blu-Ray Players, Camcorders, Storage, Accessories, and more

Now stathis mate could you look in the Device Manager to see if one is listed.

Plus you can use this to find it if there is one fitted.
    Using HW Info
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
    FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.
Just use the other components part of my ditty. I have attached a pic to show what it looks like.
I have included a pic of my RAM section to show what the details will look like and as you cansee very detailed.

Ok what I was hoping for was the network stuff info did you find it at all? That notice is some Toshiba crap which of course they are always full of.

The ones (Toshiba's) I have had I have replaced the drives and installed OEM's on and the difference in speed especially with SSD's is phenomenal. But that is for you to decide on and budget for

Great stuff stathis I am impressed now you can see one is wifi and one cable connection/s. Now could you just look at the one that is Video adaptor and see what comes up thee because the TV tuner might be there but as Golden has already said the problem may be that itself and how to get at it is another story.
Hopefully it might just be the driver.
