    Random BSOD errors while gaming/browsing/idling - 0x124 | hal.dll

    Hello,

Recently for Christmas I decided to upgrade my gaming rig, everything was going fine until around Janurary where I've been plagued with BSOD errors. They are quite random and have been happening while gaming, browsing and even just idling, there isn't really a pattern but I've noticed that the crashes have become much more frequent.

I thought it could be RAM at first, I ran Prime95 and got an instant BSOD error, but after running Passmark Memtest I've received no errors in 4 passes. I haven't got a clue what the issue could be.

I've attached the .zip file with the BSOD information as instructed. Hope anyone can help me out here, I will really appreciate it.

If any information is missing feel free to ask me, I'll try and answer it for you. Thanks!

I've managed to fix the errors. It turned out that my BIOS wasn't updated for there to be increased compatibility with Devil's Canyon CPU's, which just so happened to be mine. After installing the newest BIOS update, I ran Prime95 and there was no instant BSOD error and my processor ran very stable under maximum load. I'm just suprised that it was the BIOS considering I bought the motherboard back in December when upgrading my PC and it hadn't had a more recent BIOS update as standard. Oh well, thanks to anyone who was trying to help with this issue.
