    Yep well I did hint at that in post #35 as that board is past it's use by date chronologically or usage time

    Thanks guys ! Yes, time for a new PC. Well, motherboard, CPU, memory and GPU anyway, as the existing one has mostly new parts except these.
    So... I'll mark as solved and thank you all! I do tech support for UNIX-based network management software, and find fault finding on that a little easier !
